bonjour corinne,
you would probably list your stamps under the 'allied occupation' category as most of these issues were created by these governments. this included the american, british, french, and soviet issues.

Thank Bill,

I knew you would have an answer.

I'm speaking about Scott #530 ... 664 : they are not listed in Scott as occupation stamps.

hi corinne,
yes, i understand what you mean. i also see that separate listings for the berlin issues and east germany are present in the scott german section too. and that may be a reason for this. these stamps were probably for use in the liberated zones not occupied by the soviets. by the by, your husband is german, wouldn't he know more of the history of this period than me. :what: my german ancestry is far beyond this time and the wars. michel would be the more definitive catalog to use. do you have one? if not, i may have one of the earlier ones. email me and i will let you know.

a bientot,
cajunsr.

Heloo Bob,

Nice to meet you again on another "category" :gna:

Thank for offering your help.
Indeed, Scott & Michel are so differently "organized"...
I have both and sometime really need time to match both catalog...:shoot:
something like that shouldn't be allowed !!

Anyway, I surely take you on your offer

MfG,
Corinne
