I am considering bidding on an item. I cant find any information on postage/shipping costs. The seller hasnt replied to my request for this information. Whats the situation here? Are postage costs added to final price? How do I find out what these postage costs are. Im well aware from ebay that some sellers massively inflate their p&p costs and I dont want to get caught.

Hello,
Like on the other site, I would recommend you to ask for S/H before bidding. Most of us have them stated in listing, but if not, contact your seller and let him some time to reply (you never know what can happen, power outage, computer or Internet connection problem...).
Good Luck,
Corinne

I am new on Delcampe, and I have been having the same problem when viewing listings.
So why isn't there such a facility within the "Conditions of Sale" ?

hi annie,
as a seller, it is most difficult to define or give terms for shipping. the reasons are simple, i have no idea where a shipment may go or the actual weight if multiple items are bought as i put extra protection for my items to prevent damage in transit. or if the customer wants registration or insurance which is extra if available. to answer the previous person, my suggestion is simply ask your questions before you buy. if you don't get an answer, don't bid. it is that simple. if the seller cannot give you an answer, then he doesn't deserve your business. as long as i know where to ship, i can give the options to someone and they can make a choice, then notify me, or a bid can be made. as for 'conditions of sale', these options are not existent, but the seller can provide his selling options in his description and many do this within the borders of their country, and some offer foreign shipping costs. again, it really depends on the seller. hope this helps.
