Item description:
This is a charming pair of cast iron bookends showing the same view of a girl at a fountain gazing at the mask from which the water issues.  The pair appear to have a maker´s mark in the bottom right corner of the back, but I don´t recognize it and can´t make out any details.  The pieces stand 5" high, are 4" across the back at the base and about 2" deep.  The pieces are in very nice, naturally aged condition.  There may have been a plating or something, both front and back, but it is quite well worn off.
