Item description:

This lovely porcelain Japanese sake (saki) cup rinser has a finely done polychrome enamel design of ducks and prunus in the interior. The exterior design is a wide underglaze blue diaper with polychrome enamel blossoms and branches, and there are 2 underglaze blue lines around the base. The piece measures about 4 3/4" high x 5 3/8" in diameter, and has no makers marks, but my guess, from the quality of the design and the porcelain, is that it is from the late 1800´s. The piece shows some wear, but has no chips, cracks or repairs.
