Pièce anglaise, en laiton, avec les peintures d´origine, noire et rouge / dimensions 11cmx11cm
Pièce surnommée "croix" du fait de ses 4 branches.
Cette pièce était fixée au culot des douilles anglaises afin de protéger l´amorce durant les transports(voir la 2ème photo qui montre sa fixation) Elle était retirée au dernier moment par les artilleurs.
Inscription : 18PR V.S.M.
Le 18 PR (18 pouces) était le calibre de l´obus anglais le plus courant comme notre fameux 75 français.
Belle pièce pour une vitrine.
